Brain-like computing is an important direction for the development of integrated circuits in post-Moore era, and artificial synaptic devices that can simulate ideal behavior key to building brainlike chips with neuron-synapse-neuron connectivity. Ferroelectric thin film materials have unique nonvolatile polarization, plasticity polarization very similar biological synapses, so ferroelectric been widely concerned recent years. In this paper, research progress reviewed from two aspects, simulation function brain-like applications. The results show typical structures two-terminal three-terminal. addition effectively simulating synapse functions, also advantages simple structure, low power consumption, high stability, large switching ratio, fast programming speed. terms applications, a series advances made study synapse-based neural networks image recognition; meanwhile, synapses applied tactile visual bionics. Although abundant has made, are still at proof-of-principle stage. There considerable challenges performance regulation mechanism, reliability evaluation criteria, array structure optimization design, high-density integration process, neuromorphic architecture novel application scenario expansion, which directions need be focused future research.
